Last night during Sony Philippines’ really early Christmas party, they showcased their latest gadgets that Christmas wishes will be made of. One of which is for the active lifestyle people who wants to record memories of every extreme adventure they have on video.
The Sony Action Cam is a ruggedized camcorder that caters to people who do extreme sports such as surfing, snowboarding, longboarding, mountain biking, and capture the moments in video, and upload it instantly for bragging rights.
First of all, being a Sony product, the Action Cam uses premium imaging technology such as its Carl Zeiss Lens with an ultra-wide angle 170-degree view. It also has Exmor R CMOS sensor for incredible low-light sensitivity so even if you’re diving, you’re still getting good videos with minimal lighting. The Action Cam also has an integrated stereo mic and WiFi capability not only to share your footage easily but to also control the cam or see what it is seeing through your tablet or smartphone.
The Action Cam comes with a ruggedized casing that is waterproof up to 197ft. But there are other accessories that allows you to use it in whatever the situation such as helmet or board mount, an attachable flotation device, roll-bar mount for bikes, suction cup mounts, chest mount harness, and even a dog mount harness!
Excited yet? The Sony Action Cam Basic Cam will be available in November for Php15,999 and comes with a head mount kit. By December, a package that includes a Live View wristwatch will also be available for Php18,999.
