For those who like their phones big, the 6.1-inch Huawei Ascend Mate which they call their Pocket Cinema, is now up for pre-order for just Php16,990. That’s almost the size of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 which goes for Php23,990.
The Huawei Ascend Mate, also dubbed as My Pocket Cinema, has a 6.1-inch IPS HD display (1280 x 720 resolution) protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass Display and has Magic Touch technology which allows for gloved navigation. It uses the same 1.5GHz Huawei K3V2 quad-core chip as their Ascend D1 Quad XL along with a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage plus a microSD slot.
This sleek-looking phablet runs on Android Jelly Bean and supports HSPA+ (no LTE). There’s an 8-megapixel rear camera that can do Full HD video recording and a 1.2-megapixel camera up front. It also has a Li-Ion 4050 mAh battery that should complement the power and size of this handset.
At Php16,990, this phablet is really enticing and word has it that the initial batch of the Ascend Mate has already arrived in the country so you should be getting yours soon if you pre-order.
