From the makers of the first ultra-affordable quality Android tablet comes the FonePad, a 7-inch tablet that you can also use as a phone.

ASUS Philippines is planning to launch the FonePad exactly one week from now and will become available by the 3rd week of this month. Price and configuration will be revealed during the launch but to give you an idea, it has a $249 street price in the US for the 16GB version.
The ASUS FonePad uses a 1280 x 800 HD display on its 7-inch IPS panel. It runs on a single-core 1GHz Intel Atom processor along with 1GB RAM. To keep the price down, it only has a 3-megapixel flash-less rear camera but it also does have a 1.2-megapixel front-facing one. Aside from a microSD slot, it also supports USB OTG for more storage options.
We did a hands-on with the ASUS FonePad a couple of months ago which you might want to check out.
I know you’re itching to know the price but they won’t reveal it just yet. We’ll surely keep you posted though by next week. In the meantime, let’s just play a guessing game as to how much the FonePad will cost when it’s out.
