Lenovo launches new IdeaPad Z Series laptops


Lenovo proudly introduced its latest line, the IdeaPad Z Series (Z400 and Z500), offering on-the-go consumers a good mix of portability and performance.

Ron Flores, Retail Manager of Lenovo Philippines, gave a quick run-through of the special features of the Z Series. These thin and lightweight laptops are 25% slimmer than the standard notebooks, featuring a tactile soft-touch exterior. Weighing about 2 kg, the Z Series exhibits a sleek body (dimensions at 345 x 244 x 26 mm) without compromising its performance.

The Z400 sports a 14-inch LED backlit HD widescreen display while the Z500, a 15-inch LED backlit widescreen display. The Z series features a 10-point multi-touch technology to allow its users to multitask on their computers. Both are equipped with 1TB of HDD storage. Battery life is expected to last for about 5 hours at an average as the Z Series is powered by a 4-cell battery.
Intel Wowie Wong
Wowie Wong of Intel Philippines, Lenovo’s partner in their long term commitment of driving innovation, also shared how robust the new IdeaPad Z Series are as these new products are powered by Intel’s newest components, the 3rd generation of high voltage processors varying from Intel Core i3 to Intel Core i7 processors.

Other features include the specialized speakers with Dolby certification combined with the latest NVIDIA GeForce graphic technology for high quality entertainment, LED backlit AccuType keyboard and intelligent TouchPad for easier zoom, scroll and rotate functions, Dual Digital Array microphones and 720 HD webcam for better video chatting experience, optical drive that can accommodate DVD and Blu-ray, integrated Bluetooth, and an array of colors available: Peony Pink, Coral Blue, Dark Chocolate and Enamel White.

The IdeaPad Z Series sits in a sweet spot between Lenovo’s high-end and the entry-level products. Variations of the Z Series both have the non-touch screen and the touch screen (equipped with Windows 8) versions, which will be available in the market by end of February and April respectively. Price starts at Php29,995 – Php37,995 for the non-touch and Php36,995 – Php41,995 for the touchversion.
In lieu with the launch, Lenovo offers free computer accessories (specifically the Lenovo P720 headset, Lenovo M60 speaker and the Lenovo N3902A mouse) and 3 raffle tickets for a chance to win a night out with 10 friends for every purchase of the Lenovo IdealPad. Promo runs from February 25, 2013 until March 30, 3013 only.
