Lenovo A706, 4.5-inch quad-core dual-SIM Android

Last week, Lenovo Mobile unveiled their new entries to the local Android market scene. One of which is the chic Lenovo A706, a phone with a playful exterior but packs a quad-core mobile processor inside.

The Lenovo A706 has a white plasticky build with rounded corners and a tapered underside. It looks like a budget phone actually with a silver panel at the back to add a bit of style. It sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS capacitive touchscreen display. That’s a 16:9 854 x 480 screen resolution which should bring the pixel density to an average 217ppi.

Under the hood, the Lenovo A706 uses the budget quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor that clocks at 1.2GHz. While it is equipped with 1GB RAM, it only has 4GB worth of internal storage so you definitely have to make use of a microSD card.

There’s a 5-megapixel camera with flash at the back and a VGA one at the front. Battery is rated at 2000Mah which isn’t bad for its size. It also runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean so you’re good to go on that area.
No price yet is given to this phone but we’ll let you know once it becomes available. I’m thinking that it will be one of those affordable quad-core phones around.
