Microsoft will end support for Windows XP in exactly 1 year

Are you still a Windows XP user? You might want to consider upgrading to Windows 8 (or even Windows 7) within a year because Microsoft just announced that they are ending the support for Windows XP on April 8, 2014. That’s one year from now.

Microsoft also announced the end of support for their Office 2003 product.
You can still use your PC running on Windows XP and Office 2003 but you will no longer receive security updates, fixes, or online technical support. This is particularly bad if you’re in an enterprise setup where vulnerabilities and hacks can be a major problem.
Also a potential problem would be compatibility issues with certain software and hardware since manufacturers and developers won’t be able to get support update from Microsoft to fix issues that may arise.
The last major security update for Windows was SP3 which was released back in 2008.
